Spiders are a hugely diverse group of arachnids which can be found on every continent except Antarctica and have evolved to live in almost every habitat on earth. They are also extremely beneficial in controlling insect pests.

Each spider comes equipped with eight legs, two pedipalps (the little legs near their faces) fangs for injecting venom and web-producing spinnerets. Lifespans of these arachnids can range from 2-20 years depending on species.

Tarantulas and other spiders make very unique display pets and are typically very hardy. Observing a spider building its web can be a very cool experience along with watching it catch its prey!
